Fundamentals of Packaging TechnologyThe essential course, this four-semester program, taught by IoPP’s certified instructor team, offers insight into all of the major packaging material types and processes. Semesters include information on packaging materials, decorating, labeling, protective packaging, closures and machinery—a thorough exploration of Packaging 101. Available in-person in Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; or Orlando, FL, USA. (In-house training also available at host company site.)

Packaging Machinery: Basics
This introductory course, taught by a certified instructor, is developed for machinery novices. Attendees want to understand how package design decisions and materials selection can affect how a package performs on machinery, so they can make smarter decisions. The course offers a unique combination of classroom and hands-on learning with an eye toward reconciling packaging development with machine capabilities. The interactive classroom seminar helps attendees to:
- Creative effective packages by knowing how they run on line equipment
- Learn how to deliver efficient packaging line performance
- See how to integrate machinery into the overall packaging equation
- Get focused information about the big picture of packaging and strengthen their value to their company
The course is held on-site at Frain Industries, near Chicago, IL USA, and the seminar includes multiple trips to Frain’s expansive machinery shop, where attendees can view actual packaging machinery and see how the equipment works.
