: Mr. Silvio Colombo

I am currently working like a Engineering Director on TECKDES, a strategic consultant in engineering, design and Innovation sustainability of Packaging, with more than 24 years in Argentina and Latin America, where I collaborate on important regional cost savings and optimization projects, regarding process, materials and consumer goods for companies such as Coca Cola, Unilever, Grupo Arcor, Alicorp, Danone, Molinos Rio de la Plata, Nestlé, Grupo AJE, Novartis, The Clorox Company and Colgate Palmolive, like others R&D&i initiatives.

I did my master's degree in Industrial Direction and Organization at the Engineering Faculty of the Universidad de Buenos Aires (FIUBA) where I specialized in the strategic projects management focus on industrial processes optimization, clean and sustainable technological transformations and the impact of environmental sustainability over whole value chain of Containers and packagings.

I am Director´s Board member of the Argentine Packaging Institute where I serve as Education Director and also have on my scope to coordinate the Postgraduate Course in Packaging and Containers Technologies for more than 10 years. Also, that allows me to represent Argentina in the World Packaging Organization (WPO) in the Education Area, Sustainability and Save Food Initiatives for the Reduction of Food Loss and Waste.

In the academic field, I am Director of the Materials Engineering Course at the Universidad Nacional de Avellaneda (UNDAV) and Associated Professor of Industrial Simulation at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN), where I am also a categorized researcher and evaluator of Industry 4.0, Environment, Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency projects.
