: Ms. Iva Werbynská

Iva Werbynská is director of the Czech-Slovak Packaging Institute SYBA, where she focuses on innovation and sustainability in the field of packaging materials. She studied chemistry and sustainability at the university in Prague. Her Ph.D. program focuses on the development of new biodegradable films and methods to determine their degradation rates. Her work also includes a comparison of international packaging legislation in relation to promoting food chain security, an area of key importance for sustainable development and environmental protection.
Iva helps to navigate packaging legislation and, on this basis, to propose legislatively sound packaging solutions. She supports manufacturers of packaged goods in finding the ideal packaging for their products. She also deals with correct labelling on packaging, which is key to meeting regulatory requirements and informing consumers. It facilitates orientation in packaging competitions and the packaging market, which greatly helps to improve quality and innovation in this rapidly evolving field.
