Chicago (US), January 2013 WPO (World Packaging Organization) has just announced the list of candidates for three special awards within the WorldStar Awards 2013, as it follows:
President’s Award Shortlist
- TalkPack (Wepak Walsrode GmbH & Co. KG - Germany)
- Mosspack (BossPack Co Ltd – South Korea)
- Folding returnable pallet for Drums (SANKYU INC. – Japan)
Sustainability Award Shortlist
- Infini Bottle (Nampak Plastics Europe)
- Loop Pallet (IPG Intelligent Packaging Group – Sweden)
- Mount Franklin Easy Crush (Coca-Cola Amatil – Australia)
Marketing Award Shortlist
- Packaging for sunflower seeds (Ukrplastic – Ukraine)
- Ice Pack (DS Smith Polska – Poland)
- J & B Twister (MW Creative - UK)
(One bronze, one silver and one gold award for each award will be announced on 9 May 2013 in Sydney, Australia).
It is worth to remind that the Marketing Award is a new category launched in 2012. The purpose is to choose the packaging that works best as a marketing tool, surprising and enchanting the consumer and building a strong relationship between him and the brand. The packaging should also create value and best translate the essence and assets of the brand on an emotional and rational level before the consumer, fulfilling all his expectations before the product. The 2013 Marketing Award will be given in memory of Dogan Erberk, an active member of WPO, from Turkey, that passed away last year.
